Our History - Mount Zion Pentecostal Church Bedford
We have a rich history of service delivery in the Bedfordshire area
Following a period of renting a small Church in Offa Road Bedford for Church services, we the congregation and our Pastor purchased our first church building in 1972, a former Methodist Church (The Old Chapel), which is now a residential property. Below further details of our history and Church buildings which the congregation purchased.
Formerly a member of the Bible Way Church of our Lord Jesus Christ World Wide, Inc, we continue to fellowship and support fellowships wherever they may be.
1960s - 1972 Offa Road
Rental of a small Church in Offa Road Bedford for Church services, where the church really began to grow and individuals and families became members of the Church.
1972 Harrowden Road
We the congregation purchased our first church building in 1972, a former Methodist Church (the Old Chapel), which has since been converted into a residential property.
1978 Greyfriars
The congregation then purchased a former Methodist Church in the town Centre on Greyfriars.
This building is now the Esquires music venue.
1983 Ashburnham Road
A former small industrial building on Ashburnham Road was then purchased and extensive renovation was undertaken to convert it into a church.
The building is now residential apartment's.
1996 Midland Road
The congregation then went on to purchase the former Royal County Theatre & Bingo venue on Midland Road, where we continue to this day.
Each of the sales of the previous buildings subsequently helped to purchase this current building.
