The Homegrown Series

As we close out the year and to demonstrate the effectiveness of the MZPC ministry over the last 60 years, we invite 3 former members who have now moved on to their own ministries to speak at our services.

Convocation 2025
'Our God, Undefeated'

In the year 2025, Mount Zion Pentecostal Church joyfully celebrates 60 years of faithful ministry in the Bedford and Bedfordshire area.

For over six decades, the doors of our sanctuary have welcomed countless souls—many have been baptised in Jesus’ name and filled with the gift of the Holy Ghost. From these sacred encounters, ministries have been birthed, and lives transformed, as the gospel continues to ripple outward. To God be all the glory!

We also pause to honour the memory of those who have gone on to be with the Lord. Their service to the body of Christ remains etched in our hearts, and their legacy lives on, many are listed later in this programme.

With deep gratitude, we extend our heartfelt thanks and prayers to Bishop M.R. Thomas and Mother Lois Thomas, who have now retired after nearly 60 years of leadership.

As we reflect on this milestone, we humbly acknowledge that we have come this far by faith—not by our own merit, but by the grace and mercy of God. Through every season of ministry—its triumphs and trials—God has remained steadfast and faithful.

Bringing It Back Home Event 2024 (BHM)

Has part of Black History Month (BHM) and the Windrush Celebrations, we held this event bringing together former members of the Church community from the 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s and 2000s.

With over 80 people attending this event, it was an amazing celebration, everyone was able to mingle and catch up over drinks, coffee, food and snacks.
